The room offered a magnificent view of Hagia Sophia. The staff, especially Ayhan at the front desk, were always eager to assist, our comfort and enjoyment throughout our time there.
Limited variety in breakfast.

The team provided a very good service and the room was well decorated with a bath, an astonishing view, for example. Thoroughly enjoyed early check-in and late check-out.

The Superior Landview Room offered amazing views of the iconic Hagia Sophia. The personalized service from the staff, especially Ayhan and Burak, was extraordinary-they anticipated my needs and provided seamless assistance throughout my visit.

This is a fabulous new property in Istanbul, just steps from all the major attractions of Sultanahmet (Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Yerebetan Cistern, Topkapi Palace), short walk to the Grand Bazaar. I have stayed in many older, "boutique" hotels in Istanbul in converted Ottoman mansions, many of which are very charming, but often they come with the quirks of older city hotels (I.E., street noise, no a/c in summer, older plumbing, two twin beds pushed together being considered a "double bed"). This hotel is absolutely new, fantastic showers, great bedding and linens (even a true King bed), sound-proofed windows, a/c (sometimes rare in older hotels in Istanbul), state of the art tv (even an in- screen "fireplace" to cozy up the room for a romantic evening), and we could lay in bed with a fantastic view of the lighted Hagia Sophia at night (not just a peek out a window, the entire wall is plate glass). And all at an unbelievable price (we booked room-only, didn't want to pay for a huge hotel breakfast when we could go down the street for a pastry and tea and that was pretty much all we needed before setting off for the day). Staff is lovely. When people find out about this place it is going to be hugely popular.
It is absolutely great, nothing not to like. I would, however, not recommend booking the hotel's offered transportation from Ataturk Airport (the manager sent us a nice note before our trip asking if we'd like transportation). At 50 euros for 1-3 people (120 Turkish Lira, or abour $75), it is far higher than you would pay for a taxi. In bad traffic, we paid an average of 45 Turkish Lira, including tip, which is about 20 euros (around $28). We went back and forth 4 times, since we did a mini-trip from Istanbul and back during our stay, and the most we paid was 50 tl. This is not a criticism, just a travel tip.

The hotel staff members were all very professional, courteous and very attentative. As always in the past, the Crown Plaza has continued to be a premier choice for my accommodations. I was very happy to see that an exemplary hotel like the Crown Plaza Old City Istanbul exists were it is. It is the perfect location to enjoy the entire local area. I plan to return there next year with my family for another vacation. Great job as always. Sincerely, Gregory M. Masood

It's a very nice hotel, clean and in the centre.
Being with a baby I was using a baby stroller, the hotel did not have ramp to use, we were struggling up and down the staircase. The reception was big but few seats for waiting. No hangers found in the toilet for the towels and the TV was behind a big glass what made it impossible to watch at day time with the blinds up.

The staff were always friendly and helpful. Our room was very comfortable and quiet. The hotel location is excellent. All of Istanbul's best attractions are within walking distance. We will stay there again at the price we paid which was very good value for money.
The dining facilities were too small for the size of the hotel.
